Two thousand eighteen marks my twelfth year as Mr. Ukulele.  Retired in 2007, my days free, I hit upon the ukulele to pass the time.  I joked that, with my repertoire of novelty songs, I could be a street musician.  I could go to Central Park, sing my songs and pass the hat.  Some joke.

I started this blog in 2014; it is a daily chronicle of my days at or around Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.  It includes observations of the flora and fauna, of other buskers and busker society, and of the myriad people, from Queens to Katmandu, who stop to dance the hula.
